Living The Dream (パート1a)

BGT2008優勝後、ジョージ・サンプソンを特集した番組が放送された。
日本でいうと「情熱大陸」みたいなものか。
「パート1a」では、ジョージがダンスを始めた経緯、通ったダンススクール、BGT2007の最初のオーディションに出場するまで。
ある日、お母さんに、ダンススクールのレッスン代が高くて支払えないと言われたジョージ。
それでもやめたくないので、ストリートで踊って小銭を稼ぐようになったとか。
よくまとまっているので、書き取りをしてみた。
ダンススクールの話のあたりはほとんど聞き取れなかった。

George: I don't think it's ??blast??. Since ?? I think it's more of ??marvel, marvel?? dream. Uh, I don't mean like.."Oh, my God! What's happening." I mean, definitely doing when you think about it, you think, this dream staff has been happening, this is the thing that I had been dreamed about.

Simon: The first impression of George when I first saw him was, good-looking guy, talented... I thought he was a talent, simple ??fact??, I thought that are, you know that, kids of his age would really get him and like him, he'd been popular. And he was ??mentally?? talented.

George: My mum was always working over the holidays, she was always shy person, so she wanted something that could occupy over the holidays, that would bring confident to us. So, she took us to the stages and I guess, I just like dancing for mum.

George: ???Mirror monkey team???, uh, ??? Jamie's, Jamie's been my teacher for two and a half years, three years, almost three years and I think he's really good because he ??? so different than anyone wouldn't expect. Jamie know how ???, basically, ???? through the show, I was I mean I knew the song half like the size or stage essence so, ??? Jamie came through the day and he talk about what we gonna do, use the whole stage, so I mean ?????? I ??? great "Singin' in the rain."

Jamie: I think George is an entertainer of all round, all round for you can give us ???across calligraphy??? and he did his way. And he took free style. And just he comes out of himself. ????? What do you think? He does dance. He love dance. It's always movement ???????

George: We went to this break dance school for about five years. And then it got putting my mom to say "look, I can't keep going this, you've been going this nine years and expensive." So, I said, "Okay, then now I will do something I can make money because I don't wanna stop." So I carried on, and The ?? That was perfect, because it would ran my hours, can put in money, and kept my dancing going.

Geroge: ??? every Saturday. Meet the guys. Supposed to ??? maybe an hour or two.

George: You can got ?? stage or ?? Camera. This is real, you know.

George: ??get approached me, she said she's like an agent. And it's about two weeks after she lung me, she said, "Look. This is huge audition going on at hotel right down the ??rope away?? The bus?? I think it's perfect for you, I've already put you through it. You gotta do it." And I said, "OK. We've got ten minutes to get out. So that I just ??shock?? normal clothes I just wear, picked up my CDs, free style I just do it. Anyway, I got there, I walked straight in, I saw this britain's Got Talent, like flags, and I thought "Oh, no. What she'd done. What how she done." and now looking back on it, she didn't know where we have been now.

Narration: We first met George a year ago when he auditioned hoping for the better life for him and his family.

George: I am not great, not exactly...rich.. we're surviving, this competition can be a big chance.

Narration: But while the judges had to chose the semi finalists, Simon wasn't able to convince the other two, and George's dream was over.

Piers: Unfortunately, you weren't quite good enough.

George: Things about Britain's Got Talent, the hardest round, is the judges. If they like you, then you're okay. If they really like you, you know you're safe. And I guess the first audition like, was "okay", and the Piers said, "OK. You were good enough." And that really, that really got you down.
