「ジョージ・サンプソン、BGT2008セミファイナル」の書き取り

だんだん書き取りも疲れてきたが・・・
ジョージ・サンプソンの2008のセミファイナルのパフォーマンス。
今回は、細かいところで聞き取れなかったところが多かった。
最初の、司会者とPiers(審査員の一人)が笑いながら掛け合いをするところが、何を言っているのかわからなかった。
さて、ジョージのセミファイナルの内容は。
オーディションでは、シンプルな舞台で、服装もラフだった。
セミファイナルでは、ミュージカルのようなきれいなセットが用意され、服装もややフォーマルに。
何をみせてくれるのだろうか・・・と思わせる雰囲気。
パフォーマンスが始まると・・・有名な、「雨に唄えば(Singining in the Rain)」のメロディが。
あらっ?古き良きスローテンポの懐メロ(?)でストリートダンス?
と思わせて・・・
ジョージがステージ中央に躍り出るとともに、曲はアップテンポなダンスチューンに変化。
おしゃれで都会的なサウンド
実は、この曲もタイトルは"Singin' In The Rain (Remix)"なのだ。
マンチェスター出身のMint Royaleというバンドの曲。
ジョージもマンチェスター出身だから、この選曲?
なかなか凝った演出ですな。
さて、ジョージのダンスを見てみよう。
やっぱり曲に合うように、細かく動きを変えている。
何回も見て、細かいところを見ると、発見がある。
冒頭は、足の細かい動きに注目。
曲調が変わったところで、体を伏せて回転→頭で回転。
今回は、歌にあわせて、ときどき歌うようなしぐさも見せる。
ルックスがとにかくキュートなので、見栄えがする。
後半に入ると。
かさを持って、後ろの特設の円の中に入る。
ジョージがかさをさしてくるくるすると、おー、雨だ、雨が降ってきた。
雨がテーマだから、そこまでやるのね。
かさを投げ捨て、びしょぬれになって踊るジョージ。
Youtubeのコメントには、「まるで映画のワンシーンのようだ」とあった。
雨の中で踊る姿を見ていると、若干14歳の、才能にあふれる若者の、情熱がほとばしる瞬間を見ているような気がした。
ジョージは、昨年から、審査委員長のサイモンのお気に入りなのだが、ジョージのパフォーマンスを見る、サイモンの表情にも注目!
なんてうれしそうに見ているんだ!
ジョージはあなたの息子ですか・・・?(笑)
ちなみに、セミ・ファイナルのパフォーマンスとファイナルのパフォーマンスは同じものなのだが、セミ・ファイナルのほうが出来が良い。
ジョージ自身も、踊り終わった後に、「これまででベスト」と言っている。

George: I'm in the semi finals. Wow..
Last year, I got finished the first audition, but didn't make it through to the semis, and now really got in...

Simon: This is absolutely reinforced point I always made. I'm the only judge who were talking about it because I was the one who ??scheduled him?? last year.

George: People...never really get second chances, and I have, and I'm really ??over the moving and over the moving??.

George: Just really wannabe a dancer, when I left the area, and kids around these area don't get an opportunity to do what they wanna do. There's a few dreams...

George: Not only I do wanna be a so much, and also ?? it changes my life, and ??mom's like for a bar?? I'm fighting all the way because I know this competition is everything.

George: Ah...that was the best. It isn't bad enough!
MC2: It isn't?

MC2: Yeah. Mom's very proud. She's over there.
MC1: You've got a lot of fans in the audience!
George: Oh..my...
MC2: Now, tell me this. You didin't, you've needed a year to get to the semi-finals, and it really happened yesterday. You are Mr. ???.
George: Yeah. The last time, London was a...mystified five minutes ??after I win?? today, ??? sleep and the...umm... it's all...
MC2: You did it?
George: Did it.
MC2: You did it? You did it?
MC1: Well done, well done!
MC2: Let's see what the judges feel, Piers?

Piers: George, I don't know who's...I don't know who's got more water dripping ??mewal??, Miss Halden's hair, who ??bradding?? the stream for the three minutes.
Amanda: Sorry.
Piers: But it was greatest Britan's moral??, ???there's pretty mentioned??? in the Winston Churchill, all right? He used to say "the country never give up." And the great thing about you, is you didn't give up. And you came back, and tonight, you weren't just singing in the rain, George, you were winning in the rain.

MC2: Thanks, Piers. Amanda?

Amanda: You are not just as nice....????

(The auditioned chants.)

Amanda: You were just inspirational, George, like see, you were absolutely dancing for you and I wanna feel it was ??bad issue?? for you. It was bloody brilliant! Sorry, sorry! I'm really sorry for ????.

Simon: Ahh...you know this is interesting, because the younger contestants, umm...it is really making the show special this year, and if you watch films, George, you realize what this could actually do for you and how it could change your life, and it all comes down to those two minutes. You put you absolute heart and soul to it. And I've got to tell you got ??mizer??. I thought you are terrific.

MC2: Thanks, judges.
MC1: Now, George, give me that towel for a second. I mean, fantastic comments from the judges.
George: Yeah...
MC1: ??? show them final... How do you feel right now after that?
George: I'm speechless. I don't know what to say. That was the greatest performance I've ever done.
MC2: Wow.
George: And ???I won't stop thinking about it for years.???
